Wonderstorm is an entertainment startup founded in Los Angeles, California, by Aaron Ehasz, Justin Richmond, and Justin Santistevan.
From Avatar: The Last Airbender and Futurama to Uncharted and League of Legends, we feel lucky to have contributed to stories and games that have resonated with fans for many years.
Opportunities to create meaningful stories and games don’t come around that often. We’ve been around the entertainment and game industries long enough to see how many things can get in the way. We’re building Wonderstorm as a place where we can all do meaningful, powerful work that we can be proud of -- the best work of our lives.
Wonderstorm is a STORY and PLAY media studio that aims to create deep worlds and stories that will form the basis for lasting franchises. Wonderstorm is supported in its vision by its lead investor, MWM, a diversified media and entertainment company with projects across film, TV, immersive VR/AR and live theater.
Wonderstorm’s first franchise, The Dragon Prince, is an original animated series that premiered on Netflix on September 14, 2018, and an AAA-quality video game that is currently being developed in the same world.
Aaron is co-founder and CEO of Wonderstorm. He founded Wonderstorm with Justin Richmond and Justin Santistevan, to build imaginative, dimensional franchises driven by both story and play. Wonderstorm aspires to give creators and visionary teams the opportunity to do the best work of their lives, bringing meaningful and inspired stories and games to life.
Aaron won a Peabody Award for his work as head writer and co-executive producer of Avatar: the Last Airbender, and was part of the Emmy-award winning writing team of Futurama. Most recently, he was creative director at Riot Games where he worked on League of Legends as well as projects in development.
He earned his MBA at Stanford, and undergrad degree from Harvard.
As Executive Producer and co-founder of Wonderstorm, Justin is excited to lead teams creating amazing game and story experiences that are built from the ground up to complement one another in unique ways.
Previously, Justin was a Research and Development Producer leading the team creating one of Riot Games’ next big projects. Before that, Justin was the Game Director on the Uncharted franchise at Naughty Dog. Uncharted is one of Sony’s most iconic and beloved game franchises with over 25 million units sold as well as 13 DICE Awards and 4 BAFTA’s. His Game Direction work on Uncharted 3 earned him a nomination for the DICE Award for Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction.
Justin has a B.S. in Film from Boston University and a degree in 3D Animation from Vancouver Film School.
As President and co-founder of Wonderstorm, Justin enjoys supporting creative teams as they develop great stories and play experiences. While he primarily leads the company’s financial and operational functions, Justin brings his perspective as a core gamer and entertainment junkie to help establish Wonderstorm as a premier creative environment.
Previously, Justin was Head of Finance for Research and Development at Riot Games, where he was responsible for strategically investing in Riot’s new games and other media expansions. He was also a Producer at Riot Games, leading all mobile development efforts. Prior to Riot, Justin was a private equity investor at Sorenson Capital and a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.
Justin received his education from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and Harvard.
